IMT Computers trains laptop and phone technicians in Ikeja, Lagos. Instead of one general course, there are four 3-month courses, each built around one kind of repair, so you train for the work you want to do: laptops, mobile phones, MacBooks, or chip-level laptop motherboards.
Each course combines theory with practical bench work and ends with a final practical assessment in week 12, where you diagnose and repair a device from start to finish. You finish with an IMT Computers certificate of completion that anyone can verify online.

Which Repair Course Should You Choose?
Choose by the device you want to repair. If you are new to repair, start with Laptop Technician Repair or Mobile Phone Technician. If you already repair devices and want to specialise, the MacBook course and the board-level laptop course go deeper into logic boards and chip-level work. Not sure? What Every Repair Course Includes
Whichever course you choose, you train the same way.
- Hands-on training in our workshop in Ikeja, Lagos.
- 12 weeks of structured lessons that combine theory with practical work.
- A final practical assessment in week 12, where you repair a device from diagnosis to testing.
- An IMT Computers certificate of completion with a QR code and its own web link, which does not expire.
- Admissions support: we confirm your start date and fee within 24 hours of registration.

A Certificate Employers Can Check
Finish a repair course and you receive an IMT Computers certificate with your name and the course on it.
- A QR code and its own web link. Scan the code or send the link: either one confirms that IMT Computers issued it.
- Verified by anyone. A customer or employer can also enter the Certificate ID on our Verify a Certificate page.
- It does not expire. It stays valid unless IMT Computers revokes it.
Repair Training: Your Questions
Which laptop and phone repair course should I choose?
Choose by the device you want to repair. Laptop Technician Repair covers laptops from basic electronics through fault diagnosis, component replacement and an introduction to motherboards. Mobile Phone Technician covers phones from components and displays to charging systems, soldering and software repair. Apple MacBook Repair Engineering is a separate specialisation for MacBook logic boards, and Laptop Engineering & Board-Level Repair teaches chip-level laptop motherboard repair using schematics and boardview.
How long are the courses and when are classes?
Every course runs for 3 months (12 weeks). Laptop Technician Repair holds on Mondays and Wednesdays, 10am to 1pm. Apple MacBook Repair Engineering holds on Mondays and Thursdays, 1pm to 4pm. Laptop Engineering & Board-Level Repair holds on Mondays and Thursdays, 10am to 1pm. Register and our admissions team will confirm the next start date, and the class days for Mobile Phone Technician.
Is the training hands-on?
Yes. Every course combines theory with practical work in our workshop in Ikeja and ends with a final practical assessment in week 12, where you diagnose and repair a device from start to finish.
Do I need repair experience to start?
Laptop Technician Repair starts from basic electricity and electronics in week 1, and Mobile Phone Technician starts from tools, workshop safety and phone components in week 1. The MacBook and board-level courses go straight into logic boards and component-level work. Tell our admissions team what you already know and they will advise on the right course.
How much do the courses cost?
We don't publish a flat rate. Register and our admissions team will confirm your fee within 24 hours.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. Each course ends with an IMT Computers certificate of completion. It has a QR code and its own web link, anyone can verify it on our Verify a Certificate page, and it does not expire.
