Course Description

CFOS/S (Certified Fiber Optic Specialist – Splicing) is the FOA's advanced certification for technicians splicing outside plant (OSP) fiber optic cable plants. The course builds on core CFOT skills with focused, hands-on practice in fusion and mechanical splicing — including single fiber and mass/ribbon splicing, splice tray placement, and interpreting splice loss on OTDR traces. On successful completion, you sit the official FOA CFOS/S exam and receive an internationally recognized certification.
