IMT Computers runs a structured Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and industrial training program, hosting Computer Science, Computer Engineering and IT students from universities and polytechnics across Lagos and beyond. Students are assigned to real project work under professional mentorship — not left to observe from the sidelines.
How Our SIWES Program Is Structured
Orientation and onboarding for every new placement intake
Assignment to a specific track — web development, networking, or fiber optics — based on interest and institutional requirements
A dedicated technical mentor, not just a supervisor who signs a logbook
A paid stipend throughout the placement
Regular progress reviews and institution-ready completion documentation
A Program Built on Real Work, Not Observation
What distinguishes our program from a typical placement is direct involvement in genuine project work — the same web development, networking and fiber optics work our team delivers for actual clients. Students leave with something to show, not just a completed form.
For placement requirements, duration options and how to register, see our SIWES & Industrial Training Placement page.
