Part of React.js & Tailwind CSS
Session Overview
This React.js & Tailwind CSS cohort ran for eight weeks at our Ikeja, Lagos facility, from April to June 2025, taking students from React fundamentals to a fully deployed, component-driven application. The centerpiece project was a dynamic e-commerce product catalogue, built from a real JavaScript array of product data and rendered with React and Tailwind CSS.
Beyond components and styling, students learned to fetch and manage live API data, adopted a professional Git and GitHub workflow for a real React codebase, and used AI coding assistants to speed up development while still understanding and reviewing every line of generated code.

Week 7: Personal Portfolio & Dashboard UI
Students applied their component architecture skills to a polished personal project, combining everything learned into one deployable portfolio and dashboard application.

The final week covered using AI assistants to scaffold components and fix bugs faster, optimising and deploying the React build to a live server, and wrapped with a final project presentation, code review, and award of IMT Computers certificates of completion.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to know plain JavaScript before this course?
Basic JavaScript familiarity helps, but the course reinforces the JavaScript concepts React depends on as it goes.
What do I build during this course?
A dynamic e-commerce product catalogue with filtering and search, plus a personal portfolio and dashboard UI, both built with React and Tailwind CSS and deployed live.
Is this course suitable if I've only done HTML, CSS & JavaScript?
Yes — this course is the natural next step after our HTML, CSS & JavaScript course, moving into component-based, modern front-end development.
